Music - Artist Biographies
Janice Moore
was raised in a musical family that
encouraged her to use her talent of playing guitar and singing to serve
the Lord. She began writing music as a teenager and led various worship
teams through the years, but has found what she feels is her “purpose”
in leading Recovery Worship. Because of her own walk of recovery, she
often writes songs that speak about her passion to proclaim Jesus as the
only true healer of our brokenness. Her desire to lead others into the
healing presence of God is shared each week as team leader for New Hope
Recovery Ministries at Golden Hill Community Church. |

Bill Doheney
has a love for music that goes back to his youth. He grew up in
Southern California enjoying the beach scene and in ninth grade he began
playing the drums. He was drummer for a band called the Grapes of Wrath
who’s first record was released in 1967 and re-released again in 1998
with a successful single called “Cuz It Was Her”. In 1981 the Lord
used a separation from his wife to draw Bill to faith in Christ and his
marriage was lovingly reunited in Christ. After many years of faithful
service to the Lord his talent in rhythm was once again called in to
action in 2005 as the drummer for the Worship Team for New Hope
Recovery Ministries at Golden Hill Community Church. |

Margie Reis
began singing at the early age of five and has
sung in several musical groups through the years. Her singing talent
lay dormant for a long time due to her job, but she continued playing
piano. God called her back into ministry when she started attending
Golden Hill Community Church in Brentwood, CA. Although no longer a
part of that choir, her prayer for someway to praise God with her voice
was answered when she was invited to join the New Hope Worship Team for
the recovery ministry at GHCC. Margie’s vocal talent at finding
harmonies has been an incredible asset to the team but her sweet spirit
and faithfulness in prayer are what make her irreplaceable. |

Ken Wentworth
comes from a family
of singers and has sung in many groups throughout the years. His love
for the Lord is clearly seen each week as he shares his vocal talents
and brings inspiration to fellow worshipers. His deep voice has been
described as being “as smooth as butter” but it’s his humble spirit that
leads them toward closer intimacy with God. He has been on the New Hope
Worship Team for the recovery ministry at GHCC longer then
any of his fellow members. He has a true servant's heart, giving with
faithfulness and integrity, and is an example to them all. |
